<p>WWE presented the second edition of Clash at the Castle from OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, with several titles on the line. The hometown hero Drew McIntyre was in focus again, as he looked to regain the World Heavyweight Championship. </p>



<p>McIntyre previously challenged for the Undisputed Universal Championship at the first edition of the CATC, coming up short against Roman Reigns. </p>



<p>Other matches included an I-Quit Match between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles, Scottish star Piper Niven taking on Women&#8217;s Champion Bayley, freshly re-signed Chad Gable challenging for the Intercontinental Title, and a Triple Threat for the Women&#8217;s Tag Titles.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">I Quit Match &#8211; Undisputed WWE Championship<br>Cody Rhodes (c) def. AJ Styles</h2>



<p>The match spilled to the outside instantly, and the two stars battled in the back. Styles survived a figure four and delivered a brainbuster through a table.</p>



<p>Styles got in the face of Mama Rhodes and delivered a neckbreaker to a now-bloody Rhodes who refused to say I Quit. Rhodes countered a Styles Clash attempt and delivered a Disaster Kick. Styles halted the momentum with a Pele Kick and a DDT.</p>



<p>Styles dished out multiple kendo stick shots and belt shots but Rhodes fought on. Rhodes passed out after a Crossface submission, but the referee mentioned he has to say I Quit for the match to end.</p>



<p>Styles got in the face of Cody&#8217;s mom again, but she slapped him. Styles went for a Phenomenal Forearm after wrapping a chair around Rhodes, but Rhodes flung a chair and Styles ended up crashing through a table.</p>

<p>Rhodes delivered a Cody Cutter and three consecutive Cross Rhodes. Rhodes hit him with a chair and went for a steel-steps attack, but Styles said &#8220;I Quit&#8221;.</p>



<p>Post-match, Rhodes attacked Styles with the steel steps anyway. The Bloodline attacked Rhodes, but Kevin Owens and Randy Orton made the save. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Triple Threat Match &#8211; WWE Women&#8217;s Tag Team Championships<br>Alba Fyre &amp; Isla Dawn def. Shayna Baszler &amp; Zoey Stark, and Bianca Belair &amp; Jade Cargill (c)</h2>



<p>The champions used their strength to take a strong position in the match, but their opponents teamed up in a temporary alliance. Stark attacked Dawn and that was the end of the partnership. </p>



<p>Fyre and Dawn started a comeback sequence, with Fyre delivering a flying boot, but Belair made the save. Belair hit a superplex and brought in Cargill who went on a rampage. She botched an aerial maneuver but recovered and hit a big boot and a sit-out powerbomb.</p>

<p>Baszler locked the Kirifuda Clutch on Cargill but Belair broke it up with a 450 off the top. Belair and Cargill hit their finisher on Baszler but Dawn broke up the pin, delivered a German to Cargill, and pinned Baszler to win the match and the titles.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">WWE Intercontinental Championship<br>Sami Zayn (c) def. Chad Gable (w/ Maxxine Dupri &amp; Otis)</h2>



<p>Gable worked over Zayn&#8217;s arm, but the champion fought back and delivered a one-armed Michinoku Driver. </p>



<p>The two superstars traded multiple German suplexes, followed by Zayn hitting a half-and-half suplex for a near fall. They proceeded to trade submission holds, with Gable locking in the Ankle Lock.</p>



<p>Gable got Dupri involved, asking her to hit Zayn with the IC belt. Zayn went for the Helluva Kick and almost hit Dupri. Gable responded with a Chaos Theory for a close near fall.</p>

<p>Gable was furious at Dupri but Otis stepped up to him. Zayn ended up attacking Otis inadvertently, followed by Gable hitting a Moonsault on Zayn and Otis. Zayn hit an exploder in the ring but couldn&#8217;t hit the Helluva Kick due to his ankle.</p>



<p>Outside the ring, Gable locked in the Ankle Lock again. Zayn countered and ended up sending Gable into Dupri&#8217;s injured leg. A furious Otis picked up Dupri and went to the back. Zayn hit a Helluva Kick amidst all the distractions to win the match. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">WWE Women&#8217;s Championship<br>Bayley (c) def. Piper Niven (w/ Chelsea Green)</h2>



<p>The crowd was firmly behind the hometown lass, Piper, as she and Green played the numbers game against the champion. The ref caught Green and sent her to the back.</p>



<p>With the playing field leveled, Bayley delivered multiple elbow drops for a near fall. She went for a splash but Niven countered with an STO and Senton for a near fall of her own.</p>

<p>Bayley delivered a Bayley-to-Belly but a masked superstar (Chelsea Green in a mask), interrupted the pinfall count. Niven hit a Michinokuu Driver for a near fall, followed by a Bossman Slam and a headbutt. Bayley survived the onslaught and delivered a crucifix bomb for the win.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">WWE World Heavyweight Championship<br>Damian Priest (c) def. Drew McIntyre</h2>



<p>McIntyre received a huge ovation in front of his home crowd, along with a band playing him into the ring. </p>



<p>McIntyre immediately hit a dive and went for a suplex, but Priest sent him into the ringpost. McIntyre countered and hit a spine buster for a near fall. Priest got a near fall of his own with a flat liner, elbow shot, and a falcon arrow. McIntyre hit a Michinoku Driver for yet another near fall.</p>



<p>Priest went for a dive but ended up botching it, and got caught in the ropes. McIntyre hit a suplex and a future shock DDT for a near fall. Priest (who seemed to have injured himself during the botched dive), hit a Razor&#8217;s Edge for a two-count.</p>

<p>McIntyre hit a Claymore on the outside, sending Priest through the barricade. Back in the ring, McIntyre looked for another Claymore but Priest countered with the South of Heaven chokeslam and McIntyre barely kicked out. </p>



<p>Priset delivered a Hurricanrana, but his injured leg gave out. McIntyre hit a Claymore for a close near fall. The referee got taken out inadvertently, and Priest delivered a powerbomb. His Chokeslam attempt was countered into a Claymore, and a new ref entered the ring.</p>



<p>The new ref turned out to be CM Punk who refused to count to three. McIntyre tried to attack Punk but received a low blow in return. Priest recovered and hit the South of Heaven chokeslam to win the match.</p>
