<p>AEW presented the Jun 2 episode of Collision from Palm Springs, California, with the AEW International Championship on the line. NJPW star Lio Rush made a return to AEW programming, while former ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli took on Johnny TV.</p>

<p>Matt Taven and Mike Bennett provided enough distractions to allow Strong to hit the End of Heartache for the win.</p>

<p><strong>Backstage</strong>: Strong walked up to Tony Khan and Christopher Daniels and demanded a shot at the AEW World Title. He mentioned that he was supposed to enter next in the Gauntlet Match, but never got a chance. Khan agreed and booked Swerve Strickland vs. Strong for Dynamite next week.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Daniel Garcia &amp; Katsuyori Shibata def. The Workhorsemen</h2>



<p>Drake and Henry took the new tag team to the limit but were unsuccessful. Shibata hit a Penalty Kick on Drake, followed by Garcia pinning him for the win.</p>

<p>Johnny kept using his wife as a distraction, but Claudio managed to hit a Superplex and locked in the sharpshooter. He followed it up with the Giant Swing and a lariat to win.</p>

<p>Another squash match, with Taylor and Moriarty coming up on top after Taylor got the three-count. Ogogo hit a cheap shot after the match for some good measure.</p>

<p>Another incredible match from one of the greatest wrestlers of the current generation, Will Ospreay. O&#8217;Reilly kicked out of multiple big maneuvers, but he eventually succumbed to the Stormbreaker.</p>

<p>Post-match, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland had some words for his challengers Ospreay and Strong and said he plans to continue being the champion after Forbidden Door as well.</p>
